The Chinese pork industry suffering due to rising feed costs

Pork is important in China for social stability, but with rising feed cost the Chinese pork industry is suffering. In an effort to boost the industry the Chinese government is giving subsidies and say it will invest US$390 (€282.824) million in large pig farms this year, and each pig farmer will receive US$15 (€10.878) for every sow they raise.
