After the typhoon Manila could increase their rice imports

The Philippines is considering increasing its rice imports for 2012 due to the effects of the recent typhoon, but it is uncertain if they will purchase more for 2011 officials of the government said. Proceso Alcala said the country has enough corn supply to meet its needs, although a feed millers group said it was assessing the quality of corn harvests and the need to import both feed wheat and corn after last week's twin typhoons.
