After a normal monsoon season India looks to reap the rewards

After four months of monsoon rains as they finally draw to an end leaving behind them India's fields over flowing with crops, grains, sugar and cotton that may well help the Country to curb high food prices and could leave plenty for export in 2011/12. India is on track to cultivate a record 245 million tons of grain, that's an increase of 1.4 percent up on last years crop. The bumper crop will help reduce price volatility and bring relief to several Asian importers who are trying to combat food-led inflation. Read more ...
