During January 2012 the research group DISCOVERY carried out a study of the Russian market of products for animal feeding and food fish. They found that Russia is among the 10 largest animal feed producers in the world. The main consumer is the poultry industry (58 percent), with Cattle (13 percent), and pigs (26 percent), in second and third place.
